My passion for makeup started at a very young age. Ever since I was a little girl (about 8 years old probably) I dreamt of being a makeup artist and having my own cosmetics line when I grow up.
Around the age of 14, I started my very own beauty blog and YouTube channel. Where I posted new looks and tips daily. Later that year I was discovered by a photographer who found out about my blog and he asked me to do makeup for his photo shoot. Then and there is where I started to work as a self-taught freelance makeup at the age of 15. Over the years I have been featured on all kinds of websites, magazines and also PhotoVogue Italia.
I worked on fair skin, like my own skin. But also deep dark skin tones. I loved it! But it was also a struggle to find products that match perfectly. Especially for the really fair and really dark – as there are not many makeup products designed for these kinds of skin tones.
Instagram and Freelance Makeup Artist
Later on, I started my Instagram and decided to do the #100daysofmakeup challenge. My Instagram kept growing from there on. And I now have tens of thousands of active followers from all over the world. I have worked with and for brands like Anastasia Beverly Hills, Makeup Geek, Lime Crime, Morphe Brushes, NYX Cosmetics, Benefit Cosmetics, Natasha Denona and much more.
Certified by Esra Cantekin & Ariel Tajeda
I have received certifications through Ariel Tejada (Kardashians’ and Jenners’ makeup artist) and Esra Cantekin. I think there is always more to learn from people in the community.
I felt in my gut I had to do something with my experience, the struggles I had seen and my current following base on Instagram. I decided to chase my dream. I started by doing research, googling day and night and sending thousands of emails. Just to find that one makeup manufacturer that could provide me with that one product to start with. I wanted to base my brand on my knowledge and my struggles to find perfect shades for EVERY skin tone. But I wanted to focus more on the Instagram and makeup artist community.
I chose to start off with highlighters, as they are my current obsession. So, I created Loose Highlighters -made from pure pigment. And, of course in many different shades so every single skin tone can find at least one shade they like and works. I created my product, packaging, designs and I made the website all by myself. Of course, my friends helped me with filling every jar of highlighter with love.
After months of work, I could finally launch my website. And within 2 minutes I had my first order. Everything that I worked for, ever since I was that 14-year-old girl – fell in place at that time. And I can’t wait to see what the future brings me.
